The Mel airport transfer has been postponed due to the recent closure of the terminal.
The airport transfer will be moved to another airport in Germany.
Read moreThe transfer of Mel airport to Berlin’s Heidelberg Airport has been on hold for a year after it was closed in December due to a virus outbreak.
The terminal is scheduled to be reopened in 2019.
In 2016, the German government approved an agreement to transfer the airport to a private operator for an undisclosed sum.
That deal did not last long.
Germany was forced to shut the airport due to an Ebola outbreak in October and December of 2016.
Germany’s interior minister, Hans-Peter Friedrich, said the airport transfer was in line with a government decision to relocate the airport from Heidelbeggars-Hochstadt to a new location, which will also allow it to be operated by private operators.
Heidelberg airport was closed to all but a limited number of people after a virus epidemic, leaving the airport without a terminal.
