Tanbul Airport Transfer istanbul airport transfer to the south is a big one.
This airport transfer, which has already been in the pipeline for more than a decade, has now been delayed to 2018.
However, a decision on the airport transfer will be taken later this month.
A report in the Express Tribune said the airport-transfer project has been delayed because of a lack of funding from the Centre.
The airport transfer project was initiated by the then-Cabinet Committee for Airport Development (CCAD), which has been given a budget of Rs 3,200 crore, with a Rs 1,600 crore allocation from the government.
A senior official from the airport administration, who did not want to be named, told The Hindu that the Airport Transport Development Corporation (ATDC) has a long-term strategy and has made a decision to move the airport back in line with the Centre’s funding.
The official said that a decision would be taken on the move.
The airport transfer has been a major undertaking in the past few years.
It is the fourth airport-transport project in the state, following the two airports of Kolkata and Surat, the latter of which is a hub of international aviation.
In 2013, the state government allocated Rs 6,600 for the project.
The previous year, the government allocated $2.8 crore for the airport project, which was later increased to $6.7 crore.
The total project cost was about $18 billion.
The Central Government also allocated about $5.5 billion for the construction of a new airport terminal, while a number of projects were completed in the years since the Centre launched the airport initiative.
